The Burgenland cultural scene impresses with a wide variety of festivals. 

Many of the festival events traditionally take place in summer, kicking off in various locations once the Burgenland sun disappears behind the distant horizon. And with so many unique experiences, the other seasons will also set culture lovers’ hearts racing. From opera, operetta and a wide range of classical music to mesmerizing musicals. There’s also plenty of pop, indie and hard rock.

Year after year, the Güssing cultural summer enriches the summer season in Southern Burgenland with various musical events. From 2023, the Austrian cabaret artist, actor and director Andreas Vitásek will head the festival.
