Diverse stage pleasure

In 2001 the festival was launched by initiator and director Frank Hoffmann. Year after year, the Güssing cultural summer enriches the summer season in Southern Burgenland with various musical events. From 2023, the Austrian cabaret artist, actor and director Andreas Vitásek will head the festival.

The flair of picturesque locations such as Burg Güssing, the Open-air Museum Ensemble Gerersdorf, the St. Emmerichskirche in Inzenhof, the Heiliggeistkirche in Stegersbach or the old mill in Strem forms the attractive setting. The start event of the Güssing Cultural Summer is a theater performance at the castle every year. In the breathtakingly beautiful setting, theater unfolds its own magic, which turns a summer evening into a very special experience. Director Andreas Vitásek brings greats from the Austrian cabaret scene to the stage in the southern Burgenland community. Highest level outdoor entertainment inspires audiences afresh year after year.

Musical greats such as Joe Zawinul, Toni Stricker, The Rounder Girls, Candy Dulfer, Wolfgang Ambros, Georg Danzer, Hans Thessink, Thomas Gansch & Wolfgang Muthspiel, Mnozil Brass, Tommy Emmanuel have already been experienced at the festival. Top-class guests can also be expected this year.

Big stars in a little village

Situated by the Pinka in southern Burgenland, visitors to the peaceful little town of Bildein have been enjoying a diverse program since 2000: picture on offers the most relaxed atmosphere on the festival circuit.
