After all, it is 36 kilometers long. On clear days, you can see far into the distance. Hardly anywhere else in Austria can you experience such a wide horizon.
The local sculptor Wander Bertoni created his sculpture “Der Sonnenanbeter” (The Sun Worshipper), which was located at the highest point of Kirchberg, in the 1960s. A place full of energy that invites you to take a deep breath and recharge your batteries, the wonderful panoramic view is a pleasure to behold.
The best way to reach the vantage point is on foot or by bike, you’re better off leaving your car in the village.
Wander Bertoni has also set up an open-air museum around an old mill in WInden, which is well worth a visit.
