Its vineyard covered south-facing slopes and coniferous north- and west-facing slopes create a landscape which can really only be described as a sunny idyll. Nature and culture come together to make your heart jump with joy. Charming alleys lined with wine cellars and the “Literaturweg” are just waiting to be discovered. Two routes lead you to a total of 31 literary stops on the Klein- and Hochcsater. Excerpts from texts by various authors from all over Burgenland and interesting information can be found on the boards along the way.
Funnily enough, the Kleincsater is higher than the Hochcsater, and occasional fresh water opals can be found on both. Besides the enchanting landscape with its magnificent views, the Csaterberg offers you wonderful wine, charming “Kellerstöckl” and taverns brimming with southern Burgenland hospitality.
