On the western shore of Lake Neusiedl, in the middle of the beautiful landscape of the "Kirschblütenregion", favoured by the Pannonian climate, wine origin is very close. You can feel, smell and taste nature - and the wines reflect the symbiosis of climate, soil and vine. They show charming fruit and finesse-rich minerality, are as elegant as they are powerful.
The winemakers Leo & Leo jun. pay careful attention to the characteristics of the unique sites and the optimal physiological ripeness of the grapes. To individually approach each vintage and to accompany it, from the grapes to the full wine, is a central component of quality. The climatic conditions in Donnerskirchen allow the production of a wide range of high-quality wines. In addition to Grüner Veltliner, particularly aromatic wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Muskateller are in great demand.
With the red wines the autochthonous grape varieties are in the foreground. Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt are aged both classically in steel tanks and in wood. The origin must be clearly recognizable. Setting new accents with an awareness of traditions, in the vineyard and in the cellar. This is how unique wines were created on the barren slate soils.
