My winery is located in Podersdorf on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl, in the so-called Seewinkel. Here, the wine does not grow on slopes - we don't have them, because the Seewinkel is the lowest lying region in Austria. The vines here grow in vineyards on level ground. This is possible because of the unique combination of a lot of sun, good soils (clay, gravel, sand) and the mild Pannonian climate, which is favoured by the huge evaporation area of Lake Neusiedl.
