A family business for generations, the winery is now run by Paul and Gertrude Lehrner. Priority is given to regionality and varietal specialty combined with the highest quality. The wines reflect consistency and constancy, clearly recognizable terroir distinguish them. The vineyard area around Horitschon covers 27 hectares.
Paul Lehrner devotes the majority of his attention to Blaufränkisch - even otherwise, almost exclusively native red wine varieties are grown on the heavy, deep loamy soils. "Perfect drinking pleasure means for us on the one hand purity and harmony, on the other hand character, which finds expression through the varietal, vintage and area typicality our personal signature. These are precisely the qualities that the family try to bring to the wines to create a unique product."
