The Jonny Wegleitner winery is located in the heart of the Seewinkel region in Apetlon in Burgenland. Surrounded by small salt and soda pans, which are of great importance for the region and sweet wine production, the vineyards are situated in the best locations of the Pannonian lowlands.
Winemaker Jonny Wegleitner has been interested in wine production since 1997 and has been running the business, which he took over from his parents from a long tradition, with his family since summer 2011.
As an all-rounder, Jonny takes care of marketing, sales and cellar work together with his son Fabio, as well as the important work in the vineyards. Jonny Wegleitner's meticulous quality controls and love of good wine are reflected in his powerful red wines, fruity whites and hearty sweet wines.
The winegrower has already achieved many successes. Time and again, the wines have been awarded excellent points at various awards. 90 points and more are not uncommon, confirming the excellent quality.
The casting show "Austria's next top winemaker" (jury with Leo Hillinger, Dorli Muhr and Marcus DeMonego) has raised the company's profile enormously. Winning the third episode and being placed in the top 5 out of over 100 applicants speaks volumes for the winemaker's experience and expertise.
