The Wendelin Winery is a family business and is managed in the 3rd generation. The youngest daughter, Elisabeth, vinifies wines with great elegance and distinctive character with passion and a great understanding of nature. Her Bachelor in International Wine Management and her Master in International Wine Marketing combine global thinking and local action. Together with her father Helmut and his decades of experience, the vineyards are managed with care and the idea of sustainability. Mother Elisabeth also enjoys working in the fresh air, but also takes care of customer service and is indispensable in the administration. Husband Christian and sister Manuela provide additional relief. A real family business.
The family business produces wines in a natural way. Supported by consistent foliage work and careful cultivation of the vines, aroma density, complexity and finesse are recognizable in all wines. Its important sites around Gols include Salzberg, Gabarinza, Heideboden and Ungerberg. The red wine content is around 60%, with the main focus on the autochthonous St. Laurent, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch grape varieties. But Merlot and Cabernet are also indispensable. With the white wines the Chardonnay is the hobbyhorse. A sparkling contrast to this is the Welschriesling and in the lovely area the Weißburgunder. Not to forget the tasty rosé.
