The Hans Igler winery has been an Austrian family business for over 50 years. Founded by Hans and Maria Igler in the 1960s with 1 hectare, the vineyards now cover 35 hectares. At the end of the 1970s, Hans IGLER focused increasingly on quality, especially with traditional grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch, which have been cultivated in Deutschkreutz for centuries.

As an interface between tradition and modernity, it is now run by the third generation, son Clemens Reisner and Anna Reisner-Iorillo. The focus is still on creating new worlds of taste in close connection with nature.

WINEMAKING OUT OF PASSION
Clemens Reisner
Hans Igler's grandson has been running the 3rd generation winery together with his wife Anna since January 2021. With the first edition of the special edition Blaufränkisch "C1", he already played a key role in shaping the wine cellar during his training in 2004. Since then, Clemens' international experience, which he gained at various wineries in Australia and France, has been constantly incorporated into the wines. As the responsible cellar master, he has not only dedicated himself to the perfection of single-varietal wines, but has also specialized in cuvéetation. This is a particularly exciting topic, as the best of all grape varieties are brought together to create something new. The aim is always to create wines that inspire him as a winegrower.
