In 1964 was the beginning of the winegrowing of the family Paul Duschanek. In 1989 his son Hans (master winemaker and cellarer) and his wife Christiana took over the responsibility of the winery. Constant renovations and renewals of vinification contribute to the increase in quality of the wines. Our winery, which is run as a family business, is located in Horitschon, in the middle of Blaufränkischland. The prevailing Pannonian climate combined with sandy, heavy clay soils and excellent sites characterize the grape quality. In addition, there is a commitment to natural viticulture - vine-preserving, quantity-limiting treatment during growth and careful selection of the grapes at harvest. Various top quality wines thrive on the vineyards: Blaufränkisch, Blauer Zweifelt, Merlot and Sankt Laurent, a small part of the vineyard is planted with Muskat Ottonen and Welschriesling. Depending on the vintage and ripeness, the aim is to produce quality wines that are both powerful and storable, as well as fruity and harmonious. These are then aged in wooden storage barrels and barriques.
