For almost 40 years, the Gager winery in the heart of central Burgenland has stood for the highest quality red wine. Founded in 1984 by Josef and Paula Gager, the winery began with a clear vision: to create the perfect wine. The very first Blaufränkisch won first place in the Falstaff wine awards and laid the foundation for the family business's success story.
The pursuit of perfection is reflected not only in the quality of the wines, but also in the distinctive square label on each bottle. "The squaring of the wine" symbolizes the pursuit of perfection. This has made the estate's wines famous far beyond the country's borders for their unmistakable structure and complexity.
Today, Horst Gager and his sister Daniela are the second generation to run the winery with the same dedication and innovative strength as their parents. By combining tradition and modernity, the Gager winery remains a flagship for the Blaufränkisch region and impresses wine lovers worldwide with its exceptional red wine artistry.
