Uwe Schiefer basically follows the philosophy "less is more", both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Schiefer is constantly investing in the expansion of his vineyard area, which now totals 22ha. The ambitious winemaker recultivates ancient steep slopes where irrigation is not possible, experiments with Blaufränkisch selections and different rootstocks as well as new forms of cultivation.
The site wines "Szapary" and "Reihburg" are produced without aids in order to emphasize the terroir and the independent character of the Blaufränkisch from the Eisenberg. Uwe Schiefer has been working on the autochthonous white wine grape Welschriesling for just as long as he has been working on Blaufränkisch, i.e. for more than 2 decades.
Excellent examples of Merlot and Pinot Noir complete the portfolio. In addition, various Frizzante, noble brandies, grape juice as well as paprika powder and Kübiskernöl are also produced.
