The Pluschkovits winery and wine tavern is located in Burgenland, where the gentle hills of the Leithagebirge slowly stretch out into the wide plain of the Vienna Basin. Children, parents and grandparents work together on the family business with a total of seven hectares of prime vineyards in and around the municipality of Leithaprodersdorf. The vineyards have been in the family for generations, the wine tavern was added in 1996 and, together with the existing winery, laid the foundation for today's family business. With care and know-how, the business has been expanded, modernized and further developed to this day, rooted in tradition, with a keen eye on the future. Wines are grown and pressed sustainably under the best conditions - always in harmony with nature and family.

The nearby Lake Neusiedl and the dense forests of the Leitha Mountains create a unique microclimate of warm days and cool nights that is characteristic of this region. This interplay of temperatures ensures that the wines are particularly fruity, fresh and straightforward. Limestone and primary rock soils give the grapes the minerality typical of the region, which is impressively presented in the Leithaberg DAC wines. The limestone in the area, the Leitha limestone, is also unique and gives the wines their unmistakable character as a remnant of millions of years old marine fossils.

The Pluschkovits family produces their wines with the utmost care by hand. All family members lend a hand and you can feel with every bottle that this is real craftsmanship, carried out with quality awareness, experience and skill. The wines are patiently given time to develop their personality and natural expression. Whether in barrique barrels or classically matured in steel tanks - each wine is optimally matured and vinified. The essence of the region in the bottle.

The Fuchsenbühel vineyard, an exclusive primary rock site on the edge of the Leithagebrige, which is interspersed with mica schist, gives the wines an unmistakable mineral complexity. The winery attaches particular importance to this vineyard, as only selected grape varieties find a home here - with vision and experience adapted to the location and climate, only the estate's finest grapes grow here.

But it is not only the wines that are the Pluschkovits family's flagship. Enjoyment has many facets at the winery and so, in addition to drinks, the family also takes care of the food in the estate's own Heurigen. The wine tavern is an integral part of the winery and is run with great warmth and passion. Whenever it's "aus'gsteckt", you can indulge in regional specialties and homemade desserts in the Burgenland tradition. It's especially worth packing a bottle or two of wine when you visit.
