Our winery is located in Leithaprodersdorf. The vineyards stretch along the slopes of the Pfefferbüchsel, a foothill of the Leithagebirge. We have two different sites here, the Vorderberg with sandy loam and partly high lime content and the Reinischviertel with medium-heavy loamy soil and good water retention capacity. With the diversity of varieties, we offer our customers a balanced repertoire of different wines. The favorable climatic conditions also allow us to cultivate various types of fruit, which we process into fine brandies. To experience the result of these efforts, we cordially invite you to visit the Menitz winery.
VINEYARD
The soil has a decisive influence on the character of the wine. Our vines grow on two different vineyards on the Pfefferbüchsel, a foothill of the Leitha Mountains. On the Vorderberg with sandy loam and partly high lime content. This is where our Chardonnay and part of the Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling ripen. In the Reinischviertel vineyard there is a medium-heavy loamy clay with good water retention capacity. It is home to Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Zweigelt, Merlot and some Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling.
The Vorderberg
The Vorderberg is an eastern slope and very steep. This is where our Chardonnay as well as some Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling ripen.
The Reinischviertel
The Reinischviertel faces south-east. Our Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and some Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling grow here.
