The Kollwentz family cultivates viticulture in its purest form: own vineyards, own grapes, own wine. 25 hectares of vineyards are cultivated. Soil cultivation and greening management are the adjusting screws for a balanced growth of the vines. Labor-intensive manual work on the vine is the key to quality. Only fully ripe, healthy grapes are selectively harvested by hand.
No botryticides, insecticides or herbicides are used. No tannins or oak chips are used. There is no "orange wine" or amphorae at the Kollwentz Winery. All wines of the Kollwentz Winery are quality wines and bear the state test number. All white wines, all red wines and all sweet wines mature for six to thirty months in oak barrels.
