In Deutsch Schützen, the center of southern Burgenland, the winery Gerhard and Manuela Wallner has dedicated itself to the development of characteristic red wines. The special features of the terroir, a long growing season and deliberately kept low yields as well as gentle cellar work characterize the typical handwriting of the winery. In addition to the typical Welschriesling and Weissburgunder varieties, Goldmuskateller and Gemischter Satz are also pressed, and of course the Blaufränkisch Eisenberg DAC, which is typical of the region.
