The leading variety in the wine-growing community of Rechnitz is clearly Welschriesling, which finds ideal conditions on the southern slopes of the Günsergebirge mountains due to the climate and geological peculiarities. The fine fruit and the discreet acidity characterize the Rechnitzer Welschriesling.
