Earth Market in Parndorf At the end of August 2010, Austria's very first diversity market, modelled on the "Earth Markets" of the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity, opened in Parndorf (northern Burgenland). The Earth Market - Slow Food Earth Market Parndorf was initiated by Monika Liehl and Slow Food Burgenland. Earth Market background There are currently a total of 69 Earth Markets worldwide - from Italy and Romania to the USA and Australia. In the meantime there are also Austrian Earth Markets in Horn (Waldviertel/Lower Austria) and Lutzmannsburg (Central Burgenland).
