World stars at the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival

Numerous world stars such as Sir András Schiff, Vilde Frang, Fazil Say and Gidon Kremer are once again accepting Nicolas Altstaedt's invitation to Lockenhaus this summer. Together with the audience, they will celebrate the 43rd festival in the international "Mecca of chamber music" Lockenhaus under the motto "Orbis tonorum" from July 11-20.
Named a Musical World Heritage Site by the New York Times, the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival offers chamber music at its finest in 25 concerts over 10 days. As a concertgoer, you become part of the adventure that artistic director Nicolas Altstaedt takes the audience on every day. You will therefore not find any pre-prepared concert programs in Lockenhaus; they are intended to emerge from the magic of the location and the composition of the artists present. They are rehearsed together on site and performed exclusively in Lockenhaus. Stars such as Heinz Holliger, Anneleen Lenaerts, the Kebyart Saxophone Quartet and the Castalian String Quartet, together with all their other colleagues, guarantee an incomparable concert experience.
In addition to concerts by established world stars, 4 "Encounters" and "Overtures" are dedicated to promoting young musical talent. Cross-border guest concerts in the newly renovated synagogue in Köszeg, the "Pearl of Western Hungary", round off the varied program of the Chamber Music Festival 2024.
Community is a top priority in Lockenhaus
The private park of Schloss Esterházy Lockenhaus is open exclusively to the concert audience during the Chamber Music Festival. After the concerts, the popular regional delicacies prepared by award-winning chef Christian Tischler can be enjoyed together with the artists at lunch and dinner buffets.
