The ice ponds are located in the middle of the orchard meadows on the Rosalia cycle path B32, which leads past there directly to the center of the village. The owl trail of the Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park and the Nordic walking trail "Eisteiche" also pass there.
The ice ponds in the black alder grove were created by a dammed up brook and invite young and old to observe and linger. This mystical bog surprises us with wild ducks and their young, fire salamanders, grass snakes, and beautiful marsh marigolds, reeds, buttercups, and perhaps the bog witch is watching us as we marvel. The abundant duckweed keeps the water clean.
The ice ponds are freely accessible all year round and can be visited at any time!
