The Border Experience Trail is a hiking trail for young and old. The experience-oriented stations pick up historical, cultural and scenic features.
Starting point is the village square of Bildein with its excellent tourist infrastructure (inn, wine archive, store, toilet).
Via a number of impressive stations (labyrinth, World War 2 bunker, trench, border bridge, border watchtower, game without borders, floating bridge...) you walk to the Austro-Hungarian border, cross the Pinka River there and walk back along the opposite river bank.
All stations are designed to be interesting and stimulating for children and adults. They are also deliberately designed to encourage cross-generational conversation.
You will walk through a varied landscape, with sufficient resting places, as well as smaller individual stations with picture-text panels.
