The Chapel of St. Francis was built in 2017 in honor of St. "Francis". "Francis of Assisi" was born in 1182, the son of a wealthy merchant Pietro Bernardone. The Legend says that Christ spoke to him, "Francis, go and rebuild my house, which, as you see, is falling into complete disrepair." Then "Francis of Assisi" restored crumbling chapels in his ancient homeland.
In 1226, on October 3, Francis died in the evening in the Portiuncula Chapel.
1228 already 2 years after his death "Francis of Assisi" was canonized.
In 1979 Pope John Paul II appointed him by a bull "heavenly patron of animals, nature and environmental protection ".
In 2013, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope and was the first who choose the papal name "Francis ".
In 2015, there was an impressive meeting with Pope Francis I in Rome in the course of a general audience at the Vatican led by Bishop Ägidius Zsifkovics, Father Franz Brei, Mayor Hans Iby, the Neckenmarkt flag-wavers, the flag-waving brass band and many pilgrims from Neckenmarkt and the surrounding area.
In 2017, this chapel was built by Hans (Johann Franz) and Herta Maria Iby after 2 serious accidents and after recovering from a serious illness with the support of family and good friends as a thanksgiving to the "Lord God" and his guardian angels.
Note: A guardian angel can be needed very often and the beautiful and admirable thing about it is that it really exists, so you can also say "THANK YOU" for the luck that happens to you.
