Fishing at Lake Neusiedl has a long tradition. The children learn it from their parents and so the craft remains in the family. Because the shallow water in summer is almost like a bathtub, the lake is too warm for all kinds of salmonids such as trout and char. Here at Lake Neusiedl, the pike-perch has its refuge - the fishermen rely on it - for good reason: the white-fleshed, fine fish is particularly popular. Eels, pike, tench, carp and many more also feel at home here.
