The Bad Tatzmannsdorf open-air museum is located in the immediate vicinity of modern spa facilities, attractive wellness oases and the football arena. A place that invites you to escape from modern everyday life and look back to the "good old days"!
Take a look at the lifestyles, the rural culture and the working methods of the people of the past in the Burgenland region. In the open-air museum, 21 buildings dating from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century have found a new home and have thus been preserved for posterity. In the typical wooden buildings, most of which are still thatched, the way of life and economy of the past is shown - in the sense of a holistic presentation through the corresponding furnishing of the rooms with household goods and equipment.
The open-air museum in Bad Tatzmannsdorf is open all year round. Guided tours are possible at any time by passing through a turnstile. With the entrance fee of EUR 2,- you contribute to the preservation of this traditional museum site.
