The spectacular find from the Bronze Age is one of the most enigmatic cult objects in Central Europe. The approximately 4.7 kg heavy bronze device (27.8 cm high, Ø about 41 cm) consists of a richly decorated, openwork lower part with spokes and a bronze disc with dotted ornaments that have been partly worn away due to years of use.
It was discovered on March 12, 1914, by farmer Johann Wieder during sand work on the "Aussatzriegel" near Haschendorf. The find site was archaeologically re-examined by the Burgenland State Museum in 1998/99.

The bronze cult device in Haschendorf is freely accessible and can be visited at any time!
