The goal was self-sufficiency and to produce good organic wine; furthermore, they wanted to set a conscious counterpoint to industrial agriculture and give a little space back to nature.
They manage 3.5 hectares of vineyards, along with young olive groves, traditional orchards, scrubland, and forest. Where possible, they let wilderness run free; for example, lush hedges grow at the edges of the vineyards to create space for endangered animal and plant species. When the insects crawl, the birds chirp, and the frogs croak, enjoying a glass of wine in the evening becomes especially fun!!!
