In the midst of wheat fields and meadows stands the approximately 8m high lookout tower on the Kreuzberg in the Burgenland village of Aschau. Once you have reached the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view at an altitude of about 600 meters.
From there, there is a direct line of sight to the observation tower on the Hutwisch in Hochneukirchen (Lower Austria), the so-called "Guglhupf" in Redlschlag and the observation tower on the Geschriebenstein in Rechnitz. On a clear day, the view even goes as far as the Dolomites and Riegersburg Castle.
