Müllendorf is an ideal starting point for a vacation mix of city and countryside. The train station is 8 minutes away (walking time), from there you can take the train to Vienna. If you take the car, you can be in the center of Vienna in around 45 minutes. The nearest town on Lake Neusiedl (Rust) is a 20-minute drive away, where you are not only right on the lake, but can also choose between quaint wine taverns and chic restaurants. Burgenland is a paradise for cyclists and the surrounding area is perfect for exploring by bike. The entire region around Lake Neusiedl impresses with its beautiful landscape and sights and restaurants leave nothing to be desired. Sopron can be reached from Müllendorf in 30 minutes, which is also well worth a visit. In summer, the festivals in Sankt Margarethen and Mörbisch attract many guests every year. And Esterhazy Castle offers a high-quality and dense cultural program.
