The long-eared owl is one of the most common owls in Central Europe. Nevertheless, it is not so easy to get to see them. Unless you know their roosting trees like our rangers do.
In the cold season, however, they are increasingly seen in the residential areas of the Seewinkel. If you walk with open eyes through streets, parks and cemeteries, you will surely discover one or the other roosting tree of this owl species. Our rangers will not only guide you to the long-eared owl itself - the indigestible food remains, regurgitated as spit balls, provide information about small mammals occurring in the area.
