EI, EI, EI,... It's that time of year again: Easter is just around the corner! But what are the customs surrounding eggs actually all about? Find out on an Easter culinary hike through the Breitenbrunn Kellergasse and along the cherry blossom cycle path. Andrea Strohmayer from the Kirschengenussquelle and "Pirschkäfer" Janine Zangl will be your guides.

What you experience:

  • Hike from Kellergasse Breitenbrunn along the cherry blossom cycle path to the Wander Bertoni Egg Museum in Winden/See and back again
  • Together with Kirschengenussquelle Strohmayer, we learn interesting facts about the oldest and most traditional cherry varieties in Burgenland
  • Visit the Wander Bertoni Sculpture Park and take a look at the egg museum located there
  • Stories and tales about Easter (there are quite a few ;-) )
  • a look into the oyster mushroom cellar of Pilz & More
  • Easter snack with fine products from local producers such as hard sausages, Osterstriezel, cherry mustard, mushroom spread, etc. (incl. drinks)

Duration: approx. 3 hours

Note: Route length approx. 5.6km. Sturdy, closed shoes and a water bottle are recommended for the hike. The route is also easily accessible with a baby carriage.
