Experience the earliest spring in Austria and enjoy the spring-like landscape already on April 5, 2025 – the cycling season in Burgenland is already in full swing!
Grab your bike and cycle on the well-developed local bike path network to Lackenbach to the "Sweet Station" of the Sonnenland Draisinentour. There you will find a colorful program with live music and awards before you switch to the draisine and pedal on the rails to Horitschon – your bike can be conveniently taken along. Enjoy the unique combination of cycling and draisine rides and start spring actively!
And being creative will be rewarded! Come dressed in an original outfit, in partner or group style, on original vehicles, with tandem, handbike, historic bicycle, or unicycle – the more unusual, the better! The most original outfits and vehicles will be awarded attractive prizes!

PROGRAM:
12:00 - 13:30: Come together with live music at the Sweet Station
- Live music with the Eidaxl Combo
- Cyclists receive free coffee and cake (to be redeemed directly at the Sweet Station)
- Opportunity to purchase food and drinks (at own expense)
- Games and fun for children
- Each participant receives a free goodie bag
1:30 PM: Start of moderation and award presentation for outfits and vehicles
The following categories are announced:
For individuals/small groups (1-4 people):
- The most original (cyclist) clothing/costume
- The youngest participating cyclist
- The oldest participating cyclist
For cycling groups (from 5 people):
- The most originally dressed or uniformly dressed cycling group
- The largest cycling group
- The cycling group that traveled the farthest
For anything with wheels and pedals:
- The most original bicycle or vehicle
- The oldest bicycle or vehicle
3:00 PM: joint start with the draisines towards Horitschon (Bikes can be taken on the draisines or transported via a free bike shuttle to Horitschon.)
from 3:30 PM: Arrival at the final train station, return by bicycle. (There is also the option to use a paid return shuttle to the Sweet Station. Cost: € 5,- per person)
Participation for cyclists as well as the ride with the draisines is free!
For the awarding and the draisine ride registration is required for organizational reasons!
