Observation Tower Geschriebenstein - Instead of a wooden tower ("Arpád Tower") that the municipality of Güns built on Geschriebenstein in 1891, the municipality of Rechnitz constructed the still-preserved stone observation tower exactly at the state border in 1913. The initiator was the tax notary Ladislaus Gullner, and the builder was Josef Varga from Rechnitz. Since the fall of the "Iron Curtain," the observation tower has again been visited by many hikers as in earlier times, and since the summer of 2001, a sundial has once again been mounted on the front side.
