Equipped with a good pair of binoculars, visitors will find ideal observation conditions on the raised stands and viewing platforms along the path network. Provided that you act responsibly towards nature, by being as quiet as possible and not straying from the paths, wonderful experiences await you.
The expert rangers know the best places and take small groups on special seasonal themed tours, showing off the features of the national park. Visitors get to know the special characteristics of the landscape and its biodiversity in a way that is easy to understand. The focus of these tours is on observation and experiencing nature.
The national park has special programs to get children and young people excited about nature. The flora and fauna in Austria’s only steppe national park is explored in a playful way. During the summer holidays, there is also a special program with exciting stages, such as a canoe trip through the reed bed labyrinth or a night hike.
There are separate programs and excursions for school groups. These can be customized and allow participants to really get to grips with nature. Visitors can learn even more in the seminar rooms and labs at the National Park Education Center.
