The Liszt Festival Raiding focuses on the works as well as the thoughts and values of the genius Franz Liszt. It has become one of the most important venues worldwide for the music of this composer and pianist. As a pianist, conductor, and composer, Franz Liszt was a traveler between worlds throughout his life, a true European who transcended boundaries in every respect, continuously redefined them, and overcame them in many areas.
Since the establishment of the Liszt Center Raiding with the Franz Liszt Concert Hall in 2006, international stars and ensembles have been guests at the annual festival. Festival visitors experience high-profile piano and orchestral concerts, song and choir evenings, as well as cross-border performances that creatively and innovatively engage with the work of Franz Liszt, including world premieres and improvisations, in the concert hall next to Franz Liszt's birthplace. The Liszt Festival Raiding is under the artistic direction of Eduard and Johannes Kutrowatz.
