The Werkovits family Johann and Anna, Hans and Gitti were poultry farmers like many others until 1993. The year 1993 brought two striking events: Hans and Gitti took over the business, and the imminent accession to the EU, as well as the increasingly difficult market conditions for poultry farmers gave them the idea to refine the product "egg".
They started to produce homemade pasta, high quality pasta had to be, without dye, without preservatives, without chemical additives. The slogan "It's time for better pasta" simply met the spirit of the times and the ever increasing demands for high quality food. A pasta machine was purchased, the daily output at that time was a proud 30 kg. The capacity was soon exhausted, because the Werkovits noodles were in great demand, which is why they soon had to switch to a larger machine.
With six helping hands, a pasta machine, a vibrating dryer and a packaging machine, we as a family business can now offer 32 different types of homemade pasta.
