The vineyards extend around the Pfefferbüchsel, a medieval mountain church. It stands on an elevation that represents the last foothills of the Leitha Mountains. Northern Burgenland is characterized by the Pannonian climate. The relatively warm and dry climate in combination with the minerality of the varied soil types is an ideal prerequisite for viticulture.

Quality-oriented short pruning and high, airy foliage walls control the ratio of leaves to fruit, guaranteeing an optimal supply of grapes. Repeated manual thinning and careful foliage work ensure the best ripening conditions.

In order to preserve and promote the fauna and flora of the vineyards, sustainable cultivation is very important, which is why a sensible combination of organic and conventional plant protection is used with as little impact on the environment as possible. This is guaranteed by the use of state-of-the-art technology on the one hand, combined with loving manual labor on the other.

Carefully selected greening variants to stimulate insect diversity and promote beneficial insects in combination with organic fertilization with horse manure support the formation of humus.

The aim is always to work with nature and not against it! And so we endeavor to process the high-quality grapes in a way that conserves resources and to bottle them to the highest possible quality using state-of-the-art cellar management. Many satisfied guests and numerous awards show that this is the right way to go! Most of the wines are sold via the Rustikalschenke and farm-gate sales. A small proportion is shipped both nationally and internationally. Wine sales are possible all year round during our Heurigen opening hours from 10 am to 10 pm or by telephone appointment.
